George Michael Horn

George Michael “Mike” Horn of Madison, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018.  He had his 66th birthday just a few days before his untimely passing.  He leaves his beloved wife of 42 years, Patricia Tucker Horn, and two sons, Thomas Michael Horn of Huntsville, AL and David Patrick Horn of Madison, AL.  Mike is survived by his mother, Barbara P. Horn of Gillespie, IL, sister, Janet Hughes and husband Jim of Ozark, MO, brother, Boyd Horn of Gillespie, IL, one nephew, Kristopher Horn of St. Petersburg, FL, four nieces; Jennifer Tate of Ozark, MO, Jannece (Danny) Sutterfield of Ozark, MO, Molly (Ryan) Roberts of Austin, TX, and Sarah (Ryan) Wolfrum of Wentzville, MO.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, George Henry Horn, father-in-law, Ronald E. Tucker, Sr. and brother-in-law, Ronald E. Tucker, Jr.

He was born June 9th; 1952 in Carlsbad, New Mexico, later moving with his parents and siblings to Salem, Missouri where he finished high school, then graduatied from Linn Tech.  Mike had a passion for rock music, especially Led Zeppelin, cool cars, dogs, hunting, fishing and he loved a good joke. He was also a skilled craftsman and could fix anything broken whether large or small.  After marrying his high school sweetheart they moved to St. Louis, Mo and Mike began what would be a long career with McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing).  In 1999 they moved from St. Louis to Madison, AL, continuing his career with Boeing.  After 40 years of employment with Boeing, Mike was anticipating retirement this year, with dreams of spending more time with his beloved family and his many hobbies along with some traveling.  He will be sorely missed by his family, as well as, a host of friends from all genres of life.
