Carolyn Casey Willis

Carolyn crossed the river to be with her Lord on 14 March 2018, after a struggle with cancer.  She was born in Richmond, Virginia, where she lived with her parents, enjoying boating vacations on the Chesapeake Bay until marrying Jay Willis in 1973.  They lived on and near Army posts from Germany to New Mexico thereafter.  She held a variety of jobs, but the most important was wife, mother and homemaker for her family.  For the past 20 years, Carolyn and Jay lived in Madison, Alabama, supported by a close network of friends, especially in the Madison United Methodist Church.  A more loving wife, mother, and grandmother has not lived.  She is survived by her husband Jay, children Catherine Gilmer, Frances Selema, and Jackson Willis, and five grandchildren.  The family would appreciate, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Madison United Methodist Church Regeneration Fund.
