Clifford Roy Phillips, 83, of Madison, AL, went to his heavenly home on February 22, 2018.
Cliff was born in Conshohoken , PA. He was a graduate of Conshohoken High School. He attended Drexel University where he achieved the degree of Bachelor of Science Business Administration. Upon graduation he attended Naval Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, FL. As an officer he was assigned to duty in Coronado, CA where he met and married Maxine Vernon.
Cliff attended San Diego State University where he achieved the degree of Master of Science Business Administration.
Cliff proudly served his country for 20 years and retired as a Commander. Following retirement from the Navy, Cliff continued to serve his country working in the private sector at McDonnell Douglas (Boeing) in St. Louis, MO. After 15 years Cliff retired to Madison, AL.
Cliff was an avid boater, woodworker, Ham radio enthusiast, and jack all trades in many different areas. He was a member of the Madison United Methodist Church.
Cliff had a very strong love for his wife of 57 years, Maxine. They had three children and many grandchildren who were the love and light of his life.
Cliff was preceeded in death by his father Clifford Fletcher Phillips, his mother Kathryn Louise Wurst Phillips and his brother Paul Frederick Phillips.
Cliff is survived by his wife Maxine Phillips;his sister Kathryn DeLozier; his daughter Elizabeth Severson (Ray); his daughter Ann Kennebeck (Rick); his son Chaney (Elise); grandchildren Eric Severson, Thomas Kennebeck, Alexander Severson, Katie Kennebeck, Cara Severson, Tori Phillips, Olivia Kennebeck and Amber Phillips
