Philip Donatelli of Madison, Al. and Hermosa Beach, CA age 87, died peacefully with his loving family surrounding him on March 8, 2017. He was best known as a dedicated and loving husband and father, an avid golfer, and an expert in propellant propulsion systems for satellites. He holds three patents for thruster technology developed for communication satellites in the 1990s. Phil was preceded in death by his spouse of 55 years, Jean Anne (nee Schenck); his parents, and his sisters Lucy Donatelli, Gloria Richards, Christine Hudson, Phyllis McCall and Florence Nebeling. Phil is survived by his remaining sister, Connie Troncelliti of Ardmore, PA, his children, Joan Snow, and son-in-law, Bill of Madison, AL; his son, Dru and daughter-in-law, Lou, of Abu Dhabi; his son, Doug and daughter-in-law, Vicki of Chatsworth CA and his grandchildren, Erica Lyn (nee Snow) Mikulsky , Andy, Anika and Tyler and Shane Donatelli; two great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Phil will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn in Hollywood Hills, CA.
