Matthrew Wyatt Cochran

Matthew went home to be with our Lord in Madison, Alabama on August 25, 2016. A Funeral service for Matthew Wyatt Cochran, age 24, of Madison, Alabama will be held Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 11AM at First Baptist Church, Sylacauga, Alabama with the Pastor John Dees of CrossPointe Church, Madison, Alabama officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM -10:30 AM at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Odena Cemetery. Matthew graduated from West Springfield High School, Virginia in 2010.  He attended one year of college at George Mason University and later moved back to Alabama with his family where he attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and the University of Alabama Huntsville. Matthew loved fishing, playing tennis, computer gaming, practicing his Cello, attending concerts of his favorite Christian / Country artists and cheering on Alabama’s Crimson Tide. Matthew is preceded in death by his grandfathers, James Oliver Cochran of Marion, AL and Billy Joe Hammonds of Phenix City, AL. He is survived by his father, Marcus A. Cochran, his mother Georgia D. Cochran, his sister, Jessica L. Cochran, and his girlfriend, Shelby Reece all of Madison, AL; his grandmothers, Nancy B. Cochran of Marion, Alabama and Bobbie M. Hammonds of Phenix City, AL.
