Victoria Isibor

Mrs. Victoria Folasade Isibor was called to the bosom of Our Lord Jesus Christ on December 25, 2016 in Huntsville, Alabama. We, the Isibor and Oladeinde Family, give thanks and glory to God for a life well lived. Mrs. Victoria Folasade Isibor was born on March 22, 1943 in Ebute Meta, Lagos, Nigeria to the late Mr. James Folahan Oladeinde,and Late Janet Ajoola Oladeinde. She was baptized at birth at St. Paul's Catholic Church. She completed the sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation at a young age. Victoria Folasade Isibor began her primary school education at Mount Carmel Covenant School, Ebute Metta, Lagos. She went on to pursue her secondary education at Our Lady’s of Apostle Secondary School Yaba, Lagos. Her tertiary education was at the University of Lagos Akoka Yaba, Lagos where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree (Hons.) in Education.  She began her career as an educator in July 1968 when she joined the Jubril Martins Memorial College at Iponri as a Teacher . During the course of her career, she served in various administrative and leadership positions. Mrs. Folasade Isibor was happily married to the love of her life, Pa Felix Osa Isibor for 44 years. Together, they were blessed to raise four lovely sons- Abu, Tope, Tolu, and Tayo. A loving grandmother to her five beautiful grandchildren and an admired aunt. She was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Michael Catholic Church Ketu, Lagos. She was also a parishioner at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Madison Alabama.  She had  served in various capacities in the activities of her parish in Ketu, Lagos. She is survived by her sons, Abumere Ogona, Temitope Isibor, Tolulope Isibor, Olutayo Isibor, five grandchildren, two daughter-in-laws, her brothers and sisters, many cousins, nieces, nehews and friends. A Visitation will be held at Legacy Chapel in Madison, AL on February 2, 2017 at 5-7pm. The Catholic funeral service will be at St. John, the Baptist, Catholic Church on February 3, 2017 at 11am, she will lie in state from 10am-11am. Internment follows at Faith Memorial Gardens in Madison AL.
